ECO-PAVILION AT BOUTIQUE SHOW
LARGEST EVER

The Eco Pavilion at the International Fashion Boutique Show, held this year at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, is a specially merchandised section that features a full range of environmentally conscious apparel, accessories, footwear, jewelry/gifts items, and aromatherapy products made from hemp, organic and recycled materials. First opening at the Boutique Show in January '96, the pavilion has grown 200% offering a diversity of products and an increasing number of fashion-forward companies. New products include: recycled fabrics, eco-conscious home furnishings, body care products, hemp candles and shoes. Hemp Times Magazine continues to align themselves with the pavilion offering free seminars, runways and a cup of hemp coffee - It's good! Check it out!

The Eco Pavilion was the largest since it started 2 years ago. Many participants reported their biggest year ever. Hemp clothing lines are booming, with the demand so great it was hard to fill all the orders. Hemp fabric has to be imported because it is illegal to grow industral hemp in the United States, but hopefully this will change soon.

New Fox Fiber, organically grown naturally colored cotton was the HIT of the show. Fox Fiber in bright greens, browns, and reds was featured in hundreds of beautifully woven fabric designs most dyed colored fabrics are a major source of polution.

The Eco Pavilion also featured organically grown cotton that uses no pesticides. Consumers should know that when a label in clothing says "100 percent pure cotton" that the growing of that cotton pollutes the enviroment and that those harmful pesticides stay in that cotton fabric. Organically grown cotton is better for your health!
