Dr. Gauss has been developed by Rainar Wielalck, an inventor who has produced many electrical devices for the medical industry. Due to the increasing interest in the medical effects of EMFs, research into producing a low-cost, accurate Gaussmeter for consumer use was undertaken. The result: Dr. Gauss.
Developed on the same principals as gaussmeters costing $200 and more , Dr Gauss utilizes a minature pick-up coil which measures milligauss (the measurement used to measure the magnetic intensity fo extremely low fields). Dr Gauss detects EMF waves and converts them to voltage. It then utilizes a battery which converts this signal into a audible sound as well as activating a meter for measurement.
