Dr. Gauss is an accurate, easy to use and affordable Gaussmeter developed to allow you to perform your own EMF survey. It detects and measures EMFs (electromagnetic fields) produced by electrical currents found in and around the home, at school, in the workplace and other electrical transmission areas.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION Recent reports about the possible health hazards of exposure to elevated levels of EMFs has brought this concern home to you and your family. Dr Gauss has been developed to allow you to perform initial surveys of your home, office, school and/or factory for possible EMF hazards. Be advised that EMF levels fluctuate for a variety of reasons, and if after your survey you are concerned by the results, a commercial survey should be performed.

SURVEYING FOR EMFs: Turn Dr. Gauss ON, point Dr. Gauss at an operating appliance or area to be measured and read the meter (any reading over 10mG will cause the gauge to move all the way to the right) To determine your actual exposure to EMFs, slowly move Dr. Gauss away from the test subject. This procedure will allow you to determine a safe distance and the degree of "falloff" of EMFs. Generally, exposure to emissions is greatly reduced by establishing a safe distance from an EMF emitting object. Prolonged exposure to EMFs under 2 mG is considered safe.

It is especially important to check for EMF emissions in and around areas and electrical devices that you and your family are exposed to regularly.
