BAMBOO BED SHEETS AND BATH TOWELS

100% Bamboo vs. blended. When searching for a pure bamboo sleep experience one should look only to 100% bamboo material. Many bedding and department stores offer Bamboo/Cotton blend bed sheets such as 70/30 or 60/40 blends. This will not give you the true organic softness of 100% bamboo. The natural softness of bamboo is in part due to the fact that it is chemical free; cotton is grown with many types of harmful fertilizers and pesticides, unlike bamboo, which is grown completely chemical free. So to truly experience a bamboo sleep, it must be 100% bamboo. Any blended material with eventually "pill". Bamboo textiles are very smooth, bamboo textiles have a natural sheen to the surface and they really do feel like silk or cashmere. Bamboo yarn by nature is much finer than cotton yarn, bamboo is super light feeling and an incredibly ultra soft touch. Look for 300 and 400 thread count construction, that is equal to about 1000/1200-thread count fine cotton. Fabric technicians have worked many years to achieve this groundbreaking feat in the textile industry. Therefore "thread counts" are not the way to compare bamboo to other bedding fibers.

Amazing thermal regulating fabric Not TOO Hot. Not TOO Cold. Just RIGHT. Bamboo fabric will adjust to your body temperature. It has millions of micro gaps in the fiber making it one the fasting wicking fabrics available, those millions of micro make bamboo sheets much more breathable than any fine cotton sheet. This means you will stay cooler and more comfortable in the summer and the fabric warms you faster in the winter. However, you don't have to worry about overheating, because these micro gaps allow more air to flow between the fabric and your skin. Bamboo fabric will "breath" 10-20 times better than any fine silk (silk is one of the worst wicking fabrics). This makes bamboo bed sheets ideal for pregnancy, menopause or hot flashes. People with allergies and chemical sensitivities have also had great success using bamboo bed sheets and towels.

Bamboo Textiles are Good for Us And our Planet! Whether it's bamboo bed sheets or bamboo towels, bamboo fabrics are highly sustainable and biodegradable. Bamboo textiles are made from of Moso bamboo--don't worry, it's not the type that pandas eat. Bamboo generates much more oxygen than equivalent strands of trees, helping to reduce levels of carbon dioxide. It is also self-irrigating and requires much less water than the equivalent cotton crops. Bamboo is an incredible resource with so many practical uses--not just for bedding, but also clothing, flooring, furniture, etc. It's nice to know we can contribute our own healthy living and to the health of our planet.
