THE POLITICS OF POISON
We could only hope that the health of our children would not be a political issue. Unfortunately this is far from the truth. From arsenic in drinking water to cigarettes pushed to our kids, it paid to have invested in this president. If we want a healthier planet we must overcome the toxic legacy of the politics of poison. We at Orange Guard feel our mission is to help create this better, less toxic world for our children.
In a bear market Philip Morris stock has done quite well. Big oil looks to receive a 100 to one return on their contributions in tax credits and direct subsidies, particularly if they get to develop the ANWR. Arsenic levels pursued by mine owners areat levels effecting the development of children's brains.
Poisons like arsenic, a heavy metal, will go into your body but wonít come out. Through blood chelation, one may be able to remove a small amount over time. The pesticides and plasticizers are even worse. They go into the body and donít come out, period. They can either mimic estrogen or block testosterone causing serious hormonal disruption. DDE a breakdown of DDT has been found in the amniotic fluid of pregnant women in California. DDE is a testosterone blocker found in the same concentrations as the natural hormones. Off the coast of Southern California lies over 100 tons of DDT. It was poured down the drain in massive quantities by the manufacturers up until DDT was banned. As a result the eagleís eggs on Catalina Islandare too thin for the chicks to survive.
The organophosphate class of pesticides are a near cousin to nerve gas which was designed to kill people. When that fell outof fashion it was decided to develop the use on insects, unfortunately they are still far more effective on children. There have been some of these pesticides phased out of domestic. They were found to be 100 times more toxic to children than previously thought, not likely for this trend to continue. Pesticide exposure, being cumulative overtime, can be the cause of many serious medical conditions which often are not linked back to the source.
It has been suggested that Mad Cow Disease was found as a result of a study in England on the warbler fly, while trying tocreate a systemic source of an organo-phosphate in cows. Cows were treated at the base of the skull and down the spine. Afly biting the cow would be killed by the poison in the cow. It was no surprise if this lunacy caused the cows to get sick.
Prions are proteins in the brain that, when healthy, protect the brain from free radicals. The Prions (in the cows brains) whichnormally bind to copper had gone rogue from the exposure and began binding to manganese. These rogue prions would make other prions rogue continuing to do their damage. Later consumed, these rogue prions, find their way to your prions, potentially causing the disease in humans. No doubt you wonít be hearing this possibility on the nightly news.
Even low level chronic exposure to chemical pesticides has been shown to cause neurobehavioral damage to children. The symptoms are heart wrenching as seen in Toxic Legacy recently shown on the Discovery Health channel. Our homes are agreat source of toxic pollutants, the chemical pesticides that people use around their homes are not allowed at the dump, (anunused portion in a can must go to a toxic waste site), so while it is in your home what does that make your home?
What can we do? Eat organic food. Use Orange Guard for your pest control. If you have a pesticide service demand that they use Orange Guard. Why, because you care about the health of your planet, family, pets, birds and the lizards that you are lucky enough to have as your neighbors. All of Orange Guardís ingredients are on the FDA GRAS list (generally recognized as safe) and are food grade. Orange Guard is listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) as allowed for use in organic production as a plant extract pesticide. Orange Guard is EPA registered inall 50 states (and Puerto Rico) with labeling that states that it may be used around food, humans and pets. Orange Guardonly kills the insects you spray it on but acts as a residual repellent keeping bugs away. Oh, and most importantly, register to vote, lets win back America before it is too late.
