Since we've moved, we don't come here as often, but when we do, it's still amazing. There's no other food like this in town. Not exactly the vegetarian Chinese food you imagine. It's better and so much more. Give them a chance. Go right now.

Vege Thai 3274 SE Hawthorne Blvd (503)234-2171 All vegetarian Thai! We love Vege Thai. Why? Not only is their food good, but here you know you're safe from sneaky shrimp paste that most other Thai restaurants overlook. Pete and Nikki, the owners, are some of the nicest folks around. Chicken nuggets. Thai iced tea with soy milk. Curry with pepper steak. *Make sure and ask which of the fake meats are vegan, sometimes it changes.*
The Whole Bowl 4411 SE Hawthorne Blvd (and a few other locations, check their site) They only serve one thing, but it's good. Bowl or rice and beans with special sauce. Tell 'em to make it vegan.
Wolf and Bear's SE 20th & Morrison St / 3925 N Mississippi Ave Super super good cart. Falafel and other great sandwiches and salads. Amazing home-made hot sauce. Order the Olea sandwich (specify vegan), and you'll be very happy.
